+Feeder: Affecting the British Music Scene
+ABOUT
A final project for my Linear Media Design class. We had to create a documentary about British music, focusing on its influences and effects. Given the suggestions of focusing on an artist, a genre or a decade, I chose to focus on Welsh band "Feeder" and the alternative rock genre.
+CONCEPT
I decided the documentary would focus on the history of "Feeder" and venture into other artists who helped to define the alternative rock genre. Research took me around a week, and I aimed to use mostly pre-existing footage, due to being unable to get much new footage of the band myself. This would also be my first time using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, which I got used to quickly. The final result was a 15 minute documentary that I was quite happy with. Minor parts, such as the narration and the general direction, I was not so happy with, but the end result highlighted what I felt were good editing skills. The extract shown on this page is the introduction to my documentary, minus narration.
