+Little Miss Muffet
+ABOUT
This animation was for a project in my Digital Media Design class. The task was to create an animated version of a Nursery Rhyme to appeal to a young audience. I chose to update Little Miss Muffet with a sense of humor that would appeal to children who had seen cartoons such as "Tom & Jerry" and "Looney Tunes". The music is "太陽と君が描くSTORY" performed by SCANDAL.
+CONCEPT
Little Miss Muffet appealed to me the most out of the four choices to use for the animation, as it could be shown quite humourously. However, I wanted to add a modern cartoon style to the Nursery Rhyme.
My first draft for the animation was around 2 minutes long, and involved Miss Muffett finding a tuffet to sit on. The giant spider would march across the hills, and startle her, taking her porridge as she ran away. Muffet would then return in a tank and blow the spider up, akin to the comic violence of children's tv.
Due to time constraints, this project could not be completed, so I settled for Muffet beating the spider off with a hammer instead.
